From the Dog’s Mouth

What’s your biggest accomplishment?
I keep everything in line! I make sure to bring the cow in from the fields, and put the chickens up in there coop. If a hawk dare fly over my territory I chase it off with hackles raised and loud barks. I make sure all the chicks stick together and keep the cats in line. I keep my humans active too!

Describe your perfect day.
After a morning run alongside my biking humans (they are pretty slow) I do my morning chores checking on all the animals making sure they are where they need to be. I spend my afternoon rolling in the tall grass chewing on branches while my humans garden. After a long game of Frisbee I take a nice dip in my pool and then head to the dog park to run around my friends! Then I stop by the buffet restaurant Atwoods on the way home and enjoy the treats and kibbles they have laid out for me on the floor! Then I call it a night by jumping on the bed and forcing… I mean snuggling my way between my two humans!

When I grow up I want to be …
I want to work at Tractor Supply Company one day!!! They have chicks I can watch over, treats behind the counter to snack on, the smell on all the customers boots are very interesting, and the humans working there are always friendly to me!!

I love my parents because …
My dad gives me the last bite of all his sandwiches if I don’t beg! They are really good at throwing things for me to bring back, and they hide my stuffed toys so I can find them with my nose. They let me help with chores and moving the animals. They take me lots of places to meet new dogs and humans. They even let me sleep with them on the bed! (they’re pushovers!)

I hate to admit it, but my naughtiest moments were when …
One day while hanging outside I snuck into the barn and ate all the cat food! That was pretty naughty of me… but then the following day we went on a road trip and my tummy started to feel rumbly. I backed up onto my dad and my rear end exploded! I got the liquid processed cat food all over him and the van. I almost threw up from the smell and I’m a dog!!! They had to stop at an RV site and hand wash everything including me. I felt pretty bad about it, but we all laugh now! Mmmmm cat food.
